tbd: I am waiting for some logic ICs I would like to implement/check. Estimated release date of v.17 will be mid of April.
Nice!
Am I still in time to share a couple of CRC32 codes?

Sure :)
When you have a lot codes, you could also create an external file for it like I did for the synthesizer roms.

No, don't worry. I'm about to finish as the amount of data I'm able to share is limited.

I'm going to go a bit off-topic, you are warned. Continue at your own risk. :D

There are three revisions of the P1/2 series:
  • The first one was just a relabel of the KISS computer from SKS. It had five ROMs in it: three TMS2716 for the system software, one extra TMS2716 to implement the character ROM and finally a 1702A in the beyboard board (not the keyboard control board) to store the scancodes as the control system was still very crude.
  • The second iteration was a major redesign of the computer. They redesigned the keyboard control board so it didn't relied anymore on a 1702A. As this ROM was removed, they could simplify the power supply and remove the -9v rail. At the end they left it with four ROMs, all of them TMS2716.
  • Finally, they made a last redesign which only concerned the CPU board. In order to save space in-board they combined the contents of two TMS2716 into a 2532 so this version has three ROMs in it.
In Spain, only three units of the local version were found: one is the first redesign and the other two are the final version. From those two, I own one and in addition I was able to get an Italian unit, which is from the first redesign.

This means four CRCs come from the Italian unit (the complete romset for that version of the computer), one from the only first-revision Spanish unit and two more CRCs from the Spanish final revision (the character ROM content was found to be the same among revisions). This accounts up to seven codes.

Still, three memories are still to be dumped, but they cannot be dealt with, at least soon. :?
You may feel proud of your device, those backups couln't have been made if we hadn't it. They will prove useful the day a Spanish P2 fails due to bad ROMs. ;)

Even when the v0.17 has been officially released a few days ago, a new 0.18 beta 1 can be tested now:

Important:
This update resets the configuration to the default setting. After the update, the SD card and other settings may have to be made again.

=== 1 ===

Lots of new logic chips have been added:
- 74xx: 171, 276, 350, 351, 381, 382, 385, 436, 437, 446, 449, 568, 592, 593, 604, 605, 606, 607, 666, 667, 686, 687, 758, 759, 848, 873, 874, 876, 878, 879, 880, 1000, 1002, 1003, 1004, 1005, 1008, 1010, 1011, 1020, 1032, 1034, 1035, 1240, 1241, 1242, 1243, 1244, 1245, 1620, 1621, 1622, 1623, 1638, 1639, 1640, 1641, 1642, 1643, 1644, 1645
- 75xx: 121, 122, 123, 125, 127, 154, 172, 173, 188, 189, 466, 467, 469, 470, 471, 472, 473, 474, 8T23
- 8216/3216, 8226/3226, 4935

And a couple of logic chips have been corrected:
- 74286, 382, 577, 756

Furthermore, a couple of analog ICs have been added on request:
- LM139, LM239, LM339
- uA741
The informative value of the test results is limited, however, since testing can only be done digitally.

=== 2 ===

PALs and GALs with 24 pins can be dumped (the same restrictions apply as for PALs/GALs with 20 pins).

=== 3 ===

There is a new option "Auto pullup" in the configuration. If the pullups for SRAMs or DRAMs are switched off, the tester tries to detect an Open Collector output independently and switches on the necessary pullups. If necessary, the pullups are also switched on for 4116 DRAMs. This feature is still experimental.

When you have to dump lots of ROMs you can access the tester via WiFi. All you need is a cheap adapter:

The contents of the SD card is available via WiFi, so you can access it using the Windows Explorer.

The manuals have been updated. You will find this in the "Tweaks" section.

Hello,

there is a new firmware (v.18) available. It is a major update with new features and optimizations. The logic tests in particular have been greatly expanded and many tests have been checked with real chips.

Important:

Furthermore, a couple of analog ICs have been added on request:
- LM139, LM239, LM339
- uA741
The informative value of the test results of analog modules is limited, since testing can only be done digitally.

Due to the high number of ICs, the "74xx" menu was divided into "74xx" and "74500+".

=== 3 ===

PALs and GALs with 24 pins can be dumped (the same restrictions apply as for PALs/GALs with 20 pins).

=== 4 ===

=== 5 ===

There is now a small additional file (comparelist.html) available that makes it easier to find the correct test for exotic ICs.
The current version can always be downloaded from my website.

The manuals have been updated and can be downloaded from my website. The Dropbox has also been updated.
