Thanks Slabbi
slabbi escribió: 29 Oct 2020, 22:38 What have you used instead of the RE-COM? Have you used SMD LEDs or 3mm ones?
RE-COM in FARNELL was out of stock to next january ´21 , i looked the data sheet and change it for a mini DC-DC converter , that do the same (+5v Input to +12 -12 Output)
The leds are through hole but mini. i have this leds from other projects , are small and hi bright.

How smooth is the output of the DC/DC 12/-12V module?
Usually these modules need some capacitors to provide a smooth output voltage.
I have some on the module PCB, so it should be fine but it would be good to know.

Maybe I can add this as an alternative on the DC/DC module PCB.

Maybe a tip for all since not all user know for what a CRC32 is used for:

When you install 7-zip, it installs a tool in the context menu of the Windows Explorer called "CRC SHA".
When you right click on a binary file that contains ROM content, e.g. ROM27256.BIN, you can select "CRC SHA"->CRC32 and compare this value with the value the Chip Tester gives you. When the values are equal the content of the EPROM/ROM is fine.

Or can also do a ROM dump on SD card and compare both files doing a binary compare. The other way is faster and you can collect the CRC32 in an customcrc32.txt file so the next time the Tester gives you not a CRC32 value but the content.

Thanks, I ordered some of those. Maybe these are a cheap option to replace the RE-COM.

I have a small request:
Could you please tell me with which programming devices you successfully or unsuccessfully flashed?

I would like to expand the list a little:

The following programmers are tried and tested and can program an ATmega2560 without errors:
• Diamex USB ISP-Programmer for AVR, STM32, LPC-Cortex (Prog-S2) (Item nr.102106), approx. 20 Euro
• Diamex USB ISP-Programmer for Atmel AVR (Item nr.102104), approx. 18 Euro
• Tremex USB ISP-Programmer, approx. 20 Euro
• Pololu USB AVR Programmer, approx. 20 Euro
• Pololu USB AVR Programmer v2.1, approx. 12 Euro
• mySmartUSB MK2, approx. 30 Euro
• mySmartUSB MK3, approx. 40 Euro
• Atmel ICE, approx. 120 Euro

Feedback that there were problems or the programming did not work:
• USBASP (different Models), approx. 10 Euro
• Bus Pirate. approx. 25 Euro
• Diamex USB ISP-Programmer Stick for AVR (Item nr. 102108), approx. 18 Euro

Hi slabbi
My first choice was a USBAVR but I had problems with it.
Then buy a https: //www.diamex.de/dxshop/DIAMEX-USB-ISP-Pro ... k-fuer-AVR and burn the AVR smoothly the first time.
User Valfac had the same problem and bought a Diamex like mine ..... no problems to burn and fully operational.

Many thanks to @papanillu who sent me the QL roms for further testing.

I can also confirm that these (and other ROM types) are working flawlessly now.
