Según cifras oficiales con una cuota de mercado de entre el 2 y el 12% o sea que, mínimo, 25-27 millones de usuarios. xD En Asia y África las cifras son aún más asombrosas.

No obstante es un equipo antiguo que utilizo para las pocas aplicaciones exclusivas para Windows de algunos programadores, equipos de medida, etc. No se me ocurriría usar Windows para nada serio, mucho menos para nada relacionado con la seguridad informática.

No es nada complejo, bastaría con sustituir CHOICE por una subrutina en el .BAT para ejecutar 'CHOICE /C12x /N ">"' o 'CHOICE /C 12x /N /M ">"' según la versión de CHOICE o del sistema operativo.

A propósito, hoy recibí los pocos componentes que faltaban y ya tengo el Chip Tester funcionando.

¿Existe un listado exhaustivo de todas las opciones del menú? He echado de menos una forma rápida de llegar al Selftest puede que esté en el manual y se me haya pasado.

The menu is quite long. Use several times JUMP until you reach the end of the list (SEARCH). Then 2x Select to go two step forward -> Selftest:

Justo lo que decía, lo había olvidado. Ciertamente el manual es impresionante pero tendré que repasarlo porque desde que lo leí, hasta que he podido tener el Chip Tester funcionando ya ha pasado un tiempo.

Pues se encienden los LEDs, tengo caracteres en la pantalla, pita al cambiar de opción y acaba pasando el autotest con eso por hoy me conformo. Las pruebas con integrados las dejo para otro día.

Today I received a batch of chips:



From the 24 chips (K155RU7 = 2115): 3 are defect, 4 are K155LN3 (=7406).



Apart from the fact that it is the wrong chip, all K155LN3 are fine:



Some more chips are on the way, so I can verify more chip profiles in the next days.

This keeps me busy for a few hours now. I really wanted to make the 7481, a 16x1 SRAM, testable (it's practically in every computer;))

The problem: Outputs as OC (that wouldn't be so bad, but more later) and inputs that absolutely want 10mA.

Originally the input signals had an offset of +2V (so the 1 kOhm protective resistor was too high. So 8 NPN transistors were used and the signal connected with 330 Ohm to ground. This means we only have 1V offset and the signal looks good.





The sense signal was a disaster. Two p-MOSFETs were needed here.



As a result, the signal is inverted, but this can be corrected in software.

This means that 7481 (= K155RU1) could basically also be tested.



This is what it looks like on the breadboard.



Question: Is it worth the effort just to test the 7481? The adapter is quite complex and the test routine also occupies valuable memory.

Today tested: MCM4517 (it is a 16k x 1, very special is the REFRESH signal @pin 1, it is compatible to the Intel 2118):

I was asked how I check if the Tests are working.
70% of the tests have been already checked with real chips. This is my memory collection, all chips you see in this picture have passed all tests.







A few tests have not been validated yet. When you have some chips left (doesn't matter which, also only one or two pieces are fine) and you have no use for these, I am a grateful recipient since this increases the samples I can use to validate tests.
