Hi there,

I finally found some time to improve the test for the Intel 2107 - more precisely to the clones.
The current test only works reliably with the original Intel 2107, unfortunately there are almost always problems with the clones.

I now have a prototype of an adapter board with which MM5280, TMS4060 etc. can also be tested. This works fine with the ICs in my collection. Even if the prototype works, there will be a new board design (e.g. the prototype still has a few jumpers/connectors that are not needed).

I should have the final version in three to four weeks.

This is just an idea what might be possible in future. There is no prototype available.

I don't know if it works but don't see a reason why it should not work.

The RCT provides everything that is necessary to control a programming process. The only issue is that Vpp is 25-27v, so there are some components necessary that switch 25v on/off for Vpp.

It should also be possible to build an adapter that allows to program PROMs like 82S126 etc.

:D

The Retro Chip Tester can now program 2708 EPROMs with an inexpensive adapter. A prototype already exists at the moment. The final board version will probably be available in two or three weeks.
